Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins in the US as well as Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation as well as a SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN in 2016. joined ESPN. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the time she turned nine. The ability that allowed her to get her first job as a Univision production assistant in Miami. In Miami, she worked with the producers of National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her first job was as a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate after that. Then, in 2009 the reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. The stories she covered were about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking across both Texas and Mexico. She also filled in for sports anchors and weather forecasters. She was then anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. She also wrote articles to the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. Besides this, she produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she was anchor herself. She was advertised as anchoring sports to Despierta America Deportes' morning show. She worked in the same role as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta Collin's parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She is younger than her sister. The family moved to Miami after relocating to Mexico to the US. Within a brief time her father split from her mother. She later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. When on vacation Antonietta was staying at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed a new job. As a senior in high school but having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. The campus was beautiful and provided the education she wanted. After completing the requirements for high school, she attended the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and director of WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her by his passion for journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
